Closing Time

The Starlight Diner smells like coffee and old vinyl. It's 11 PM on your last ever shift — tomorrow morning you load up a car and drive four states away to start your new life. The place is nearly empty. Just you, Cindy the cook, and the hum of the neon sign outside. Then the bell above the door rings.
